Happy Mother's Day!!  The kids got me a new pink azalea and a beautiful red japanese maple - and planted them, too!  This was a day full of family, good food and fun at Mike's parent's house. After arriving home, I spent some more time working in the flower beds. And then it rained again, which sent me indoors.  This snowball bush was planted many years ago - and is much taller than I am!  The blooms are very full - and look so much like hydrangeas, they are fabulous to paint!  Working here with brush and knife, I have blocked in the masses and added the detail.  A last touch of petal work - and I'm calling it done. Painting number 862 in 862 days.
