Veteran Park

Oh I have missed my oils!  Deciding to pick up a few primary colors while we were last in town, I now have the basics to keep in my trunk.  I went with a Zorn palette selection, choosing vermilion as my red.  Boy, do I miss that alizarin crimson!  It was very hard to get a cool violet, I kept adding ultramarine to cool it off.  I have never really used vermilion, which is one reason I wanted to try it.  It is very warm for a limited palette, but I'll adjust.  This street scene is very appealing to me, it is the view from the kitchen window in my parent's house, and I look at it every morning.  It is the perfect choice for Veteran's Day, as it is the Veteran's Park.  Painting number 2116 in 2116 days.
