With a baseball tournament, teaching a painting class, and heavy rains on the way - I barely finished this one up before the first crack of thunder!  I am REALLY loving painting these flowers up close and personal en plein air!  It is SO much easier to get accurate colors and fluid strokes while surrounded with natural beauty!  I sure hope my schedule allows plenty of time for painting at the Overland Park Arboretum during the Stems event!  I'm hoping for every day - but who knows with my schedule.  This painting of my grandmother's peonies outside the kitchen window is number 875 in 875 days.
